Book
The theme of this book is immediate from the glossy card cover with a black and white lineart design from the interior under the title.
The glue bound spine is sturdy and allows for a good amount of wear and tear without issue. Images do not enter the spine.
The paper is slightly thicker than standard copy paper, bright white and moderately textured. Images are single sided and not perforated.
Coloured pencils, both wax and oil based, lay down very well and layer nicely. Any wet media, such as markers or watercolours risk damaging the next image, so ensure to place a few sheets of paper under the image you are working on.

Many colouring books feature birds, and many have hummingbirds – but Rose Rambo has taken this to another level. Every image in this book features hummingbirds, nestled amongst flowers, on an elaborate background, flitting around a tree and much more.
The drawing style throughout the book is consistent, as they have all been drawn by the same artist, and this is clear through the book. The art style is almost like a sketchbook in black and white, optimised for colouring.
The intricacy remains low to moderate throughout, with a good mix of smaller and larger spaces to allow for room to blend and shade. Line thickness is predominantly thin throughout, and is slightly thicker in some places

If you love hummingbirds, then this book is likely to give you a smile. The nature theme and endless colour combinations of hummingbirds provide an innately soothing colour palette which is great for low moods or anxiety.
The intricacy means that this book will most likely be suitable for those with variable concentration as there is a variety of detail within this book. Line thickness means that this book may not be suitable for those with vision impairments, but as always, please do check the images.
